 Warranty, Return and Exchange Policy
Montana West guarantees all merchandise to be free of manufacturers defects.  Customers receiving defective merchandise have 45 days from original invoice date to return damaged or defective merchandise.  Montana West will replace, at our cost, any items that are deemed defective or damaged due to manufacturing malfunction.  A valid invoice or receipt including the date of purchase must be presented to qualify for all returns or exchanges under the Montana West warranty.  Proof of damage or defect must be presented in picture form and submitted to  Upon review and approval by return authorization department customers will receive credit either by means of initial payment or as a credit to their Montana West account.  Refunds will only be issued at the discretion of the return authorization department for damaged or defective merchandise. Montana West will pay only for shipment of replaced merchandise due to manufacturers defect or shipping error.
Examples of qualifying manufacturing defects include issues with zipper construction, loose stitching or lining, hardware or embellishment malfunction.
Our manufacturer's warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, neglect, or accidents. Some examples of what will not be covered under our warranty are stains or color transfer from clothing dye, beverages or inclement weather, damage from curious pets, scratched, soiled spots or marks from normal use, discoloration from moisture, lost or stolen items, exposure to chemicals or products with alcohol, general improper care. Our limited warranty covers against defects in material or workmanship.

If, for any reason, a customer is not satisfied with their purchase a request for exchange may be submitted to no more than 30 days from original invoice date. Montana West will also permit returns for refund 30 days from date of purchase with valid receipt.  It is the customers responsibility to handle return shipping charges and to provide Montana West returns department with tracking information for the return package prior to shipment.  Montana West will not be responsible for return packages that are sent back without prior, proper notification of return status and tracking number. There is a flat 15% restocking fee in addition to any shipping fees incurred for any exchanged merchandise, refused orders or cancelled orders that have been picked and packed.  

Montana West must be made aware within 10 days of ship date of any orders received not as billed or damaged during shipment. 
If an item is no longer available for exact replacement a store credit will be issued for the purchased price of the item. 

Montana West does not offer repair, cleaning, or refurbishing services.
Warranty is void for all products not purchased from an authorized Montana West retailer.  It is the consumer's responsibility to provide proof of purchase from authorized retail partner.
How to Request Return or Exchange
All return or exchange requests must be submitted to  Please include the following information:
1.  Web order number, purchase order number or invoice number
2.  If there is no order or invoice number available please submit an image of proof of purchase
3.  Include an image of the item that is to be returned, if the item is damaged or defective please include a detailed image of the items flaw as well
4.  Preferred resolution.  Example:
  • Please issue a credit to my Montana West account for use on future purchase
  • Please replace item with identical item or most similar item
  • Please issue a refund by original means of payment
  • Please issue partial credit to my Montana West account for future purchase
Allow three business days to complete all return and exchange claims in addition to three business days to process a received return package.  Please be aware that Montana West cannot issue a refund for any shipping fees incurred on customers behalf.  All return shipments must be coordinated with customer service prior to shipment. Any return package to Montana West that has not been coordinated prior to shipment will be refused at delivery.  Please be sure to use an insured and trackable shipping method to return any package to Montana West at senders expense, Montana West is not responsible for any packages that are lost or stolen in transit. Lack of response on a returns claim query will be abandoned and voided after 30 calendar days.  For the consideration of our return processing department we ask that each claim be submitted seperately.
